A new team taking its first steps

Playing in Division 8 of the YEL league, Rushcliffe Silva Purple U10 Saturday brings together young players who are learning the game and gaining experience of team football.

Their first weeks together have already brought some real highs and lows. For a team of beginners, each match provides an opportunity to practise new skills, understand the game and become more comfortable playing together.

Those early experiences are an important part of grassroots football. Alongside the excitement of match days, there is the chance to make friends, learn how to support teammates and enjoy being active.

Supporting the team with their kit

Through the sponsorship, Bishop Sports & Leisure is helping the players take to the pitch in their team kit, giving them a shared identity as they represent Silva FC.

For a newly formed team, pulling on the club’s colours can be a memorable part of getting started. It brings a sense of belonging and gives the players something to share as they develop together throughout the season.
